Breakfast at the Country Inn
Here at the Country Inn we believe that breakfast at a Bed & Breakfast should be an experience unto itself. We strive to provide our guests with a unique culinary experience. Breakfast is served each morning in two seatingsone at 8:15 a.m. and one at 9:15 a.m. Complimentary Room Service is also available at 8:20 and 9:20.
We serve a different freshly prepared meal each day.
The daily menu is influenced by special dietary concerns from guests, what is fresh and in season, and the number of guests at each breakfast seating. Every breakfast features fresh organic eggs from our own hens. Below are some of the offerings you might enjoy while here.
Mascarpone Stuffed French Toast
French Toast filled with a creamy mixture of Mascarpone cheese, orange zest, nutmeg, and vanilla; served with sausage or bacon, two eggs, and a side of fruit.
Alternate variations of this meal for gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian/vegan guests are available.
South Western Frittata
Our version of Huevos Rancheros. This light and fluffy egg dish is one of our guests favorites. It is topped with our Innkeepers famous red sauce. Made from scratch, it's slightly spicy and full of fresh herbs and veggies. This dish is served with sausage and corn tortillas or jalapeņo hushpuppies and a side of fruit. For our vegan/vegetarian guests we offer a tufu scramble topped with the same wonderful sauce and lots of fresh veggies.
Two English muffin halves topped with Canadian bacon, poached eggs, and a Meyer Lemon Hollandaise; served with Country Potatoes, and a side of fruit. For our vegetarian guests we serve our poached eggs and Hollandaise atop a bed of roasted asparagus.
Sweet Potato Hash
Sweet potatoes, onions, and apples combine into a sweet and savory hash; mixed with Ham, or bacon and topped with poached eggs. We serve this with rustic multigrain bread and fresh fruit. This dish is easily adapted for our vegetarian and vegan guests. Gluten-free bread is also available upon request.
Veggie Frittata with Monkey Bread
Fresh seasonal vegetables baked into a warm and fluffy frittata; served with Monkey Bread (pastry dough mixed with spices, sugar, almonds, and apples and baked in the oven), bacon or sausage, and a side of fresh fruit.
Fresh baby spinach folded into creamy sour cream and eggs, and baked in the oven until the eggs puff just slightly; served with bacon or sausage, rustic multigrain bread, and a side of fresh fruit.
Lemon and Ricotta Pancakes
Tender and moist ricotta pancakes with a hint of lemon zest, topped with homemade Lemon Curd, and served with bacon or sausage and a side of fruit. When in season, variations include the addition of blue berries or fresh strawberries.
Caramelized onions mixed with thyme and reduced white wine, combined with ham and bacon, inside a delicate pastry crust.
This luscious breakfast is served with Country Potatoes, and a small salad dressed with our own balsamic vinaigrette.
Special requests (ie. Allergies, vegan/vegetarian, lactose intolerance, gluten free etc.) should be made well in advance of your arrival to ensure adequate time for us to gather ingredients and plan menus.
